7 Things To Do in Boston: For Foodies & Drinkers Alike

Boston

If you like to eat and you like to drink, odds are you are probably my type of human being. I’m not picky. Here is our 7 Things to do in Boston: The Foodie Edition:

1. Gain 10lbs in the North End

The North End is famous for having some of the best Italian food outside of Italy, and I can vouch for this. You’ll have a lot of options to pick from so make sure to do some research, or you can take my word for it and head to Al Dente to order the Shrimp & Calamari Fra Diavalo.

2. Treat Yourself to Amazingly Fresh Seafood (Or Take Your Oyster Virginity)

The only thing that could possibly be better than Boston’s Italian food, is it’s seafood. Stop by one of the Oyster Houses and try one of each type, or order a delicious lobster roll. We tried Island Creek Oyster Bar (located in Back Bay and highly recommended!)

3. Turn the Freedom Trail into your very own beer crawl

The number one thing people will tell you to see in Boston is the Freedom Trail. They’ll give you some line about a 2.5-mile, brick-lined route that leads you to 16 historically significant sites. Whats the real treasure of the Freedom Trail? It is the only place where Samuel Adams Boston Brick Red is served.

4. Make Some Tough Decisions at Quincy Market

Quincy Market is basically a food court on sterioids (with unique shopping and a street performance or two outside). Try a lobster roll, or clam chowder, or whatever else your heart desires. Quincy offers something for us all.

5. Walk off the extra calories in the Public Garden

You’ll hardly notice that your getting exercise with the distraction of the Boston Public Garden. If you visit in the summer, you can even take out a swan shaped paddleboat.

6. Head to Newbury Street for the Upscale Restaurants & Boutiques

You can easily spend a whole night on Newbury street shopping, eating and drinking. We checked out Sonsie, a lively restaurant with excellent international cuisine.

 7. Finish off at the Boston Waterfront

Bostons new waterfront has a pleura of dining options overlooking the bay. We headed to Temazcal because even we can’t resist ordering tacos and margaritas off of an ipad. Oh yeah, and there was also some crab claw guacamole involved.
