Here’s my 1 day itinerary for Salzburg below: 1. … Read more

Al Tranvai Florence: Enjoy A Meal With Us

al tranvai florence

When you’re visiting Florence, skip the expensive tourist trap restaurants and head to Al Tranvai to find well priced local Tuscan cuisine.

The neighborhood is a breath of fresh air compared to the more touristy spots of the city. At Al Tranvai, there are no menus.  Instead, there is a list of selections to choose from on a chalkboard by the front door. A lot of the food choices are local Florentine fare (the waitress will be happy to explain if you have questions).  The restaurant is a small, cozy building with a rustic feel. It’s usually filled with Italian locals, which is a sign that the food is excellent!

Make sure to try the Tiramisu and the house wine!

Where is your favorite place to eat in Florence?

Sausage & Vermicelli at Zeughauskeller, Zurich

Vermicelli is officially the weirdest dessert I’ve ever seen, so of course I had to order it. It looks like noodles, tastes like chestnut, and is served in some sort of goblet fit for a king.
