5 of my Coolest Airbnb Experiences of 2018

favorite airbnb

It’s no secret that I love Airbnb. It’s practically plastered all over my blog. I’d just rather spend a night in an interesting place submerged in the middle of a neighborhood, farm or mountainside instead of in a plain jane hotel room. Here are my favorite Airbnb’s that I stayed in during 2018:

Glamping Barrels on a Slovenian Farm

These glamping farm barrels in Slovenia have to be at the top of my list. They were adorable, and the hosts gave me a ton of free fruit from their garden AND a welcome shot. You can book the same place here (but don’t forget to sign up for Airbnb using my code to get a $40 credit). I liked this place so much that I didn’t even mind when I crashed my drone in the trees nearby 😉

$68/night

Castle View Apartment in Lake Bled

This castle/church/lake view apartment in Lake Bled was definitely one of the top spots I stayed at this year. The studio was small, but the view from the balcony was unforgettable. You can’t really beat a castle view room (even if church bells will be waking you up in the morning).  You can book the same place here (but don’t forget to sign up for Airbnb using my code to get a $40 credit).

Mountainside Rooftop in Montenegro

The balcony from this mountainside rooftop in Montenegro was perfect for my solo stay. It was set in a tiny neighborhood away from the tourists in Kotor and it’s balcony overlooked old town.  You can book the same place here (but don’t forget to sign up for Airbnb using my code to get a $40 credit).

$23/night

Backwoods Studio in Lake Tahoe

This tiny studio in Lake Tahoe was the perfect quaint getaway. It was tucked into the woods and just what I needed for my hiking vacation. You can book the same place here (but don’t forget to sign up for Airbnb using my code to get a $40 credit).

Here’s more things to do in Lake Tahoe if you book the trip!

Table Mountain View Condo in Cape Town

And the best view of the year goes to…. our little slice of heaven in Cape Town. Not only did the living room and kitchen have views of Table Mountain, but so did both of the bedrooms. Even after some heavy drinking, you’ll always wake up knowing where you are 😉 You can book the same place here (but don’t forget to sign up for Airbnb using my code to get a $40 credit).

$137/night
